Maine Medicaid Plans (MaineCare)
MaineCare is Maine’s Medicaid program, administered by the Office of MaineCare Services under the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). As of 2023, most beneficiaries receive services through a fee-for-service model. However, Maine launched a Medicaid Managed Care initiative starting in 2024 with one contracted Managed Care Organization (MCO).
